Outlier Detection has many applications. Outlier is instance of the data set which has exceptional characteristics compare to other instance of data and exhibits unusual behavior of the system. There are many methods used for detecting outliers. Every method has its advantages and limitations. In this review paper a relative comparison of few statistical methods is carried out. This shows which method is more efficient in detecting outlier.
